Prostart National Certificate of Achievement Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To encourage educational pursuits by providing financial assistance. Focus: Culinary Arts. Qualif.: Applicants must be students who earned a Prostart National Certificate of Achievement; must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States of America; and must be graduating high school seniors or juniors who will study culinary arts and food service management at accredited culinary schools, colleges or universities. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on presentation, case study and GPA.

Funds Avail.: $2,000. To Apply: Applicants must have a signed hard copy of the online application, signed by the parents or guardian if under 18; must submit typed case-study; a copy of current high school transcript of records; if you are graduating senior, transcript must include grades of senior year and a letter of acceptance from the culinary school, college or university; must include a letter of intent stating the plan to enroll in an accredited restaurant or food service program for a minimum of nine credits for high school juniors. South Carolina Tourism and Hospitality Educational Foundation Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide educational assistance for students who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to the hospitality (restaurant, lodging tourism) industry. Focus: Travel and tourism. Qualif.: Applicants must be currently employed in the hospitality industry and/or enrolled in an industry-related educational program at an accredited institution. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on presentation of application, strength of letters of recommendation, a well-written and within word count essay, industry-related work experience and GPA.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form; three letters of reference; three completed Character Reference Forms; current official transcript; and a double-spaced essay (minimum of 500 words and maximum of 1,000 words). South Carolina Undergraduate Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To encourage educational pursuits by providing financial assistance. Focus: Culinary arts. Qualif.: Applicants must be enrolled in a post-secondary restaurant/hospitality program and must be attending an accredited post college or university in South Carolina. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need and academic performance.
