Indiana Library Federation AIME Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide funds for at least one scholarship applicant entering or currently enrolled in a program to receive

educational certification in the field of School Library Media Services. Focus: Library and archival sciences. Qualif.: Applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate certification program for School Library Media Services; must meet the current criteria as set by the Indiana Professional Standards Board. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on academic performance.

Funds Avail.: $500. To Apply: Applicants must submit three letters of recommendation from which one must come from librarian. Masters candidates must submit (a) transcript or copy of official grade report for any library science courses already completed, (b) transcripts of all undergraduate education and (c) transcripts from other graduate work (may be included, but are not required). Public library certification candidates must submit (a) a copy of the approved public library certification program, (b) transcripts from undergraduate education and/or high school and (c) transcript or copy of official grade report for any course already taken toward library certification. School library media candidates must submit (a) a transcript for any education and/or library science courses already completed, (b) a transcript for all undergraduate or graduate work completed and (c) transcripts from high school may be included by candidates that have not yet completed any graduate or undergraduate work. Esther Schlundt Memorial Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To foster the professional growth of its members and the promotion of all libraries in Indiana. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be entering or currently enrolled in an ALA-accredited graduate degree program in library and information science; or must be entering or currently enrolled in an Indiana State Library-approved library certification program. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on academic performance.

Funds Avail.: $1,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit three letters of recommendation from which one must come from a librarian; must submit transcript or copy of official grade report for any library science courses already completed for masters candidates, all undergraduate transcripts and/or high school and transcripts and a copy of official grade report for any course already taken toward library certification. School library media candidates must submit transcripts for any education and/or library science courses already completed. Contact: 317-257-2040

Sue Marsh Weller Memorial Scholarships (Graduate, Postgraduate, Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To foster the professional growth of its members and the promotion of all libraries in Indiana. Focus: Library and archival sciences. Qualif.: Applicants must be entering or currently enrolled in an ALA-accredited program of graduate study specializing in children librarianship. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on interest in librarian-ship as a profession, personality and character, academic record, economic need and references and/or a personal interview.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must submit three letters of recommendation from which one must come from a librarian. Masters candidates must submit (a) transcript or copy of official grade report for any library science courses already completed, (b) transcripts of all undergraduate education and (c) transcripts from other graduate work (may be included, but are not required). Public library certification candidates must submit (a) a

copy of the approved public library certification program, (b) transcripts from undergraduate education and/or high school and (c) transcript or copy of official grade report for any course already taken toward library certification.
