Distance Learning Program

The curriculum for the online degree programs is built upon IWU's successful site-based programs, which are held in traditional classroom settings. IWU's Christ-centered focus in education integrates proven principles with cutting-edge technology to develop creative and compelling leaders.

Indiana Wesleyan University's online degree programs are convenient. Books and materials are shipped directly to students. There are no campus visits or residencies required. In addition, IWU uses learning teams or cohort groups to keep students motivated and give the support needed to finish the program. Students start the program together as a group and complete the program taking one course at a time in sequence.

Delivery Media

IWUOnline offers students a virtual classroom forum to interact with faculty members and fellow working professionals on a broad range of relevant issues. Each workshop within the course has deadlines assigned for classroom activities. IWUOnline students are expected to participate in the online classroom on a regular basis. This includes participation, discussion, submission of regular assignments, and participation in team projects and activities.

IWUOnline utilizes the asynchronous type of learning. This means that online classroom participation is neither time nor place dependent. In other words, students can go online to do assignments and participate in online discussions at times that fit their schedule.
