Jeannette Rankin Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To financially support the education of a low-income female student who wishes to pursue her educational goals. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be female, age 35 or older; a U.S. citizen; enrolled in, or accepted to an accredited school; pursuing a technical or vocational education, an associate's degree, or a first bachelor's degree; and have low-income according to the U.S. Department of Labor's Lower Living Standard. Criteria: Awards are given based on goals; plans in reaching those goals; challenges the applicant may have faced; and financial situation.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed scholarship application along with a personal statement; two letters of recommendation; and proof of enrollment or acceptance.
