Description:

Independent, 4-year, coed, affiliated with African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. Awards bachelor's degrees. Founded 1879. Setting: 272-acre small town campus. Endowment: $14.1 million. Educational spending 2003-04: $5638 per student. Total enrollment: 1,016. Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 18:1. 1,464 applied, 50% were admitted. 3% from top 10% of their high school class, 4% from top quarter, 15% from top half. Full-time: 985 students, 50% women, 50% men. Part-time: 31 students, 39% women, 61% men. Collegiate Environment:
