J.C. and Rheba Cobb Memorial Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To promote the continuing growth and prosperity of independent community pharmacy in the United States.
Focus: Pharmacy. Qualif.: Applicants must be full-time pharmacy students in an accredited United States college of pharmacy. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on leadership qualities and academic achievement.
Funds Avail.: $2,500. Number Awarded: 1. To Apply: Applicants must submit a copy of the most recent official transcript of record. Applicants must submit a letter from school official familiar with the students activities; a letter from a pharmacy owner or manager, preferably an NCPA member; a letter from the applicants to the NCPA Foundation Scholarships Award Committee outlining his or her school and civic accomplishments and objectives for the future; a resume or curriculum vitae describing the students work and professional experience. Deadline: March 15.
National Community Pharmacists Association Internship Programs (Undergraduate/Internship)
Purpose: To provide undergraduate pharmacy students with an opportunity to become more aware of the vast opportunities that exist in independent pharmacy practice. To provide an experience that demonstrates the importance of a national pharmacy association to the profession. Focus: Pharmacy. Qualif.: Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time pharmacy program in pursuit of their first professional pharmacy degree; applicants must have a minimum of 2.50 cumulative GPA at an accredited U.S. college of pharmacy; a demonstrated interest in independent pharmacy practice through school activities and work experience; exhibit an interest in organizational involvement through participation in student organizations in college and/or community organizations. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on academic standing.
Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation explaining their interest in the internship, career goals, and how the internship will help to meet the goals; a resume or curriculum vitae; a school transcript to verify a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5; two letters of recommendation, one from pharmacy school dean and one from the state pharmacy association executive, current recent employer, or NCPA Faculty Liaison. Deadline: January 15.
National Community Pharmacists Association Presidential Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To promote the continuing growth and prosperity of independent community pharmacy in the United States. Focus: Pharmacy.
