Jack Anson Fellowships (Graduate/Fellowship)
Purpose: To support a current or former staff member of a national social fraternity or sorority who is currently enrolled or has applied for a graduate study at an accredited college or university. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be pursuing degrees in student personnel, college administrative work or contemplating work for their sorority or fraternity professional staff. Criteria: Applicants will be selected based on the screening and award process.
Funds Avail.: $1,000. Number Awarded: 2. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form; letters of recommendation; official transcript; graduate or professional school acceptance letter.
Remarks: To honor Jack Anson of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity for his years of dedicated service to his fraternity and to the interfraternal movement.
Lloyd G. Balfour Fellowships (Graduate/Fellowship)
Purpose: To provide financial assistance to full-time students who are enrolled in accredited graduate or professional schools. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduate students who are members of NIC; NPC; NPHC and PFA fraternities. Criteria: Applicants will be selected based on scholastic achievement, campus and community involvement and leadership within one's fraternity/sorority.
Funds Avail.: $1,000-$5,000. Number Awarded: 10. To Apply: Applicants must submit complete application; official transcript from college or university; copy of graduate or professional school acceptance letter. Deadline: April.
Remarks: Initiated in 1985 in honor of Lloyd G. Balfour of Sigma Chi Fraternity.
James H. McLaughlin Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To provide funding for individuals with outstanding fraternal leadership who are enrolled in Canadian universities. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be undergraduate students who are attending or are agreeable to transfer to a Canadian university; must be a founding member or new member of a Canadian colony or interest group; or must be an IFC or Panhellenic officer at a Canadian University. Criteria: Award is given based on results of screening and award processing.
Funds Avail.: $500. Number Awarded: 1. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application and official transcript from college or university. Deadline: April.
Mary Louise Roller Panhellenic Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To provide educational funding to undergraduate female students intending to pursue graduate studies. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be undergraduate women with desire to attend graduate school. Criteria: Award is given based on demonstrated outstanding service to applicant's local college panhellenic during her undergraduate year.
Funds Avail.: $1,500. Number Awarded: 1. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application; official transcript from college or university; letter of endorsement from Panhellenic Council; letter of endorsement from Panhellenic Advisor; and copy of acceptance letter from graduate school.
Remarks: Scholarship is funded by a grant from Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity in honor of Mary Louise Roller's 33 year tenure on AOPi's Panhellenic Delegation.
