Community Environment:

The College is located in Halifax, the capital city of Nova Scotia, with a metropolitan population of 300,000. Halifax is the largest city in the Atlantic region. It is the home of a number of cultural institutions including the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, the Neptune Theatre and the Nova Scotia Museum. In addition, there are a number of active art galleries, most notably the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and the galleries connected with the city's three universities. The Arts Center at Dalhousie University provides, during the fall and winter months, a constant round of music concerts, plays, and other performances.
