The Pac-10 Postgraduate Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To honor outstanding student-athletes from member institutions who also are outstanding scholars.

Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must have an overall undergraduate minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (based on a 4.00 scale) or its equivalent; in the final season of intercollegiate athletics eligibility and competition under Pac-10 legislation; have performed with distinction as a member of the varsity team in the sport in which the student-athlete has been nominated; intend to continue academic work beyond the baccalaureate degree as a full-time graduate student; have behaved, both on and off the field, in a manner that has brought credit to the student-athlete, the institution and intercollegiate athletics. Criteria: Selection is based on participation in campus or community service activities.

Funds Avail.: $3000. Number Awarded: 40. To Apply: Applicants must contact the Faculty Athletics Representative or the Life Skills Coordinator at their institution.

Remarks: One male and one female from the pool of 40 Pac-10 Postgraduate Scholarship winners will receive the Oroweat “Healthy Minds” Scholarships of $10,000. Contact: Chris Dawson.
