The Eneslow Pedorthic Institute Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: For students committed to attending the New York College of Podiatric Medicine/EPI course. Focus: Orthotics prosthetics technology; Pathology. Qualif.: Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have at least a high school diploma or equivalent; have an experience related to footwear for foot care; must describe their educational plans, including the school(s), the approximate timetable, the approximate date on which they plan to take the pedorthic certification exam (Applicants need not be enrolled in a course at the time of application); must sit for the certification exam within two years of completing course work supported by the Foundation scholarship; must agree in advance that, if selected to receive a scholarship, they will serve as advisors to the Foundation Scholarship Committee for two years immediately after receipt of a scholarship (such service shall not exceed 16 hours of consultation, generally by telephone or e-mail, over the course of those years); must describe their preferred area of concentration in pedorthics. Criteria: Applicants are selected based on, but not limited to, evidence of commitment to a career in pedorthics; financial need; applicant's preferred pedorthic interest area.
Funds Avail.: $500-$2,500. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form to the Scholarship Review Committee. Applicants must also submit three recommendations from individuals not related to them. Deadline: January 15.

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to students who are interested in a career in pedorthics. Focus: Orthotics prosthetics technology; Pathology. Qualif.: Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have at least a high school diploma or equivalent; have an experience related to footwear for foot care; must describe their educational plans, including the school(s), the approximate timetable, the approximate date on which they plan to take the pedorthic certification exam (Applicants need not be enrolled in a course at the time of application); must sit for the certification exam within two years of completing course work supported by the Foundation scholarship; must agree in advance that, if selected to receive a scholarship, they will serve as advisors to the Foundation Scholarship Committee for two years immediately after receipt of a scholarship (such service shall not exceed 16 hours of consultation, generally by telephone or e-mail, over the course of those years); must describe their preferred area of concentration in pedorthics.
