Joyce C. Hall College Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To encourage youth participation in international activities. Focus: General Studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be current members of People to People International with experience in at least one of the many programs offered during the past four years. Applicants must also be full-time college students or high school seniors maintaining a 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Criteria: Recipients will be selected based on the evaluation of all application materials.

Funds Avail.: $2,000. Funds must be used to pay tuition first, before books and supplies. Number Awarded: 5. To Apply: Applicants must send an application form accompanied by: a statement of the applicant's participation in a People to People International activity, and what that experience meant to increasing his/her understanding of intercultural relations among the peoples of the world; an original essay not more than 1,000 words regarding “Why I believe international friendships are important and how my experiences have improved my understanding of people from other countries/cultures;” Statement of Financial Need Form; three letters of recommendation; transcript. High school seniors must provide proof that they are actively applying to a college or university. Deadline: October 15.
