Phi Kappa Phi Emerging Scholar Awards (Undergraduate/A ward/Prize)

Purpose: To recognize and encourage academic achievement in all disciplines. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 on 4.0 scale and at least earned 30 semester hours as a full-time student during 2007 and spring 2008 academic year at an institution that has an active Phi Kappa Phi chapter. Criteria: Applicants will be evaluated based on academic recognition, awards, community activity and leadership.

Funds Avail.: $250. Number Awarded: 60. To Apply: Applicant must answer and submit type-written applications downloadable on the organization's website. Deadline: July 14.

Phi Kappa Phi Fellowships (Other/Fellowship)

Purpose: To provide financial support for members entering the first year of graduate or professional study. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be active members of Phi Kappa Phi and have applied to enroll as a full-time student in a post-baccalaureate program of study for the 2008–2009 academic year, at an accredited American Institution of higher learning. Criteria: Candidates will be evaluated based on academic achievement, including transcripts, honors and awards, relevant research experience, standardized test scores, and samples of creative work, service and leadership experience, on and off campus letters of recommendation, personal statement and career goals, and acceptance at an approved graduate or professional program.

Funds Avail.: $5,000. Number Awarded: 60. To Apply: Applicants must complete application online, print, and submit it with the other required materials to respective chapters. Deadline: February 1.
