Ryan Mullaly Second Chance Fund Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to young people who are fighting cancer to attend college. Focus: Cancer. Qualif.: Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States; must be diagnosed with cancer or encounter a recurrence of cancer between age 13 and graduation from high school; must be under active treatment for cancer while in high school, resulting in a substantial impact on their ability to attend class; must have a treatment history which includes chemotherapy and/or radiation; must be age 22 or younger; must have not previously been awarded a scholarship from the fund; must be currently pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree at an accredited 2-year or 4-year college or currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary vocational or trade program which will culminate in certification. Criteria: Applicants are evaluated based on financial need.

Funds Avail.: $1,000. To Apply: Applicants who are students still undergoing treatment, those with permanent effects from treatment and those at the beginning of their post-high school education are given priority.
