Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara Art Scholarship Program (High School/Scholarship)
Purpose: To provide financial assistance to students who are planning to major in Art or an art-related major at college. Focus: Arts. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating high school seniors who have attended at least four of the six secondary grade school years in Southern Santa Barbara County, comprised of Goleta, Santa Barbara, and Carpinteria; must be planning to major in Art or an art-related field in college. Criteria: Applicants are assessed based on academic merit.
Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must submit all the required application information. Deadline: November 15.
South Coast Area High School Senior Honors Scholarship Program (High School/Scholarship)
Purpose: To provide assistance to deserving students for continuing their education. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating high school seniors who have attended at least four of the six secondary grade school years in Southern Santa Barbara County (Goleta, Santa Barbara, Carpinteria). Criteria: Applicants are evaluated based on academic achievement.
Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must submit completed application form; personal statement/essay; academic transcript; academic recommendation letter; and employer/supervisor recommendation letter in order to qualify for an interview. Deadline: November 15.
Undergraduate and Medical/Graduate General Scholarship and Loan Program (Graduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To assist applicants studying in standard academic programs on a traditional academic calendar. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be U.S. citizens or documented legal permanent U.S. residents; must have attended at least four of the six secondary grade school years at a Santa Barbara County school and have graduated or will graduate from a Santa Barbara County high school; must be planning to attend full-time (12 units minimum per term) at an approved vocational school, 2-year college or 4-year college and must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA. Criteria: Applicants are evaluated based on financial need, potential and motivation.
