Description:

State-supported, 2-year, coed. Part of Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges. Awards certificates, diplomas, and transfer associate degrees. Founded 1964. Setting: 80-acre suburban campus. Educational spending 2003-04: $2457 per student. Total enrollment: 8,591. Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 21:1. 45% 25 or older. Core. Academic remediation for entering students, ESL program, services for LD students, advanced placement, summer session for credit, part-time degree program, adult/continuing education programs, co-op programs and internships. Study abroad program.

Student services: personal-psychological counseling, women's center. Campus security: 24-hour emergency response devices and patrols. College housing not available. Ray W. Howard Library/Media Center with 79,554 books, 1,735 serials, an OPAC, and a Web page. Operations spending 2003-04: $1.2 million. 385 computers available on campus for general student use. Staffed computer lab on campus.
