Thunderbird, The Garvin School of International Management was founded in 1946. It is accredited by North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. It first offered distance learning courses in 1998. In fall 2004, there were 286 students enrolled in distance learning courses. Institutionally administered financial aid is available to distance learners.
