Air Force ROTC Enhanced HBCU Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To meet officer production requirements and enhance enrollment at HBCUs. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be enrolled at the following colleges/universities: Jackson State University; Tuskegee University; Alabama State University; Howard University; North Carolina A&T State University; Fayetteville State University; Tennessee State University. Criteria: Recipients will be selected based on merit.
Funds Avail.: Tuition capped at $15,000; Books at $900. per year. To Apply: Applicants may start the application process for the scholarship program by contacting the Air Force ROTC detachment at the school that they wish to enroll in.
Hispanic Serving Institution Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To meet officer production requirements and enhance enrollment at HSIs. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be students enrolled as HSIs (Hispanic Serving Institution), including those schools which host an Air force ROTC detachment and those which are cross-towns of another school that hosts a detachment. Criteria: Applicants do not have to meet a selection board for this scholarship.
Funds Avail.: Tuition capped at $15,000; Books at $900 per year. To Apply: Applicants may start the application process for the scholarship program by contacting the Air Force ROTC detachment at the school that they wish to attend.
Historically Black College or University Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To meet officer production requirements and enhance enrollment at HBCUs. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be enrolled at an HBCU (Historically Black College or University), including those schools which host an Air Force ROTC detachment and those which are crosstowns of another school that hosts a detachment. Criteria: Applicants do not have to meet a selection board.
Funds Avail.: Tuition capped at $15,000; Books at $900. To Apply: Applications for the HBCU Scholarship are processed and approved at the detachment level. Applicant must contact the detachment serving the school, and the school will work to nominate the applicant for the appropriate scholarship program. Applications are accepted at any time each year.
U.S. Air Force ROTC Enhanced HSI Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To meet officer production requirements and enhance enrollment at HSIs. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be enrolled at the following colleges/universities: California State University; New Mexico State University; University of New Mexico; University of Puerto Rico- Rio Piedras; University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez; University of Texas - San Antonio. Criteria: Recipients will be selected based on merit.
Funds Avail.: Tuition capped at $15,000; Books at $900. per year. To Apply: Applicants may start the application process for the scholarship program by contacting the Air Force ROTC detachment at the school that they wish to enroll in. at the above address.
U.S. Air Force ROTC Express Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To provide financial assistance for college students enrolled in specific fields. Focus: Engineering; Aerospace sciences; Aeronautics; Atmospheric sciences. Qualif.: Applicants must be United States citizens by the end of the projected term of activation; must pass the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test; must pass the Air Force ROTC Physical Fitness Test; must have at least a 2.5 cumulative college grade point average; must a physical examination and be certified; must not be a contracted scholarship recipient; and must meet the age, moral and other scholarship eligibility requirements for Air force ROTC. Criteria: The Express Scholarship program is operated on a fully qualified basis - those who meet the qualifications are awarded the scholarship and do not meet a scholarship selection board.
Funds Avail.: $15,000. To Apply: Applications for the Express Scholarship are processed and approved at the detachment level. Applicant must contact the detachment serving the school that he/she wishes to attend and the school will work to nominate the student for the appropriate scholarship program.
U.S. Air Force ROTC High School Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To provide financial assistance to high school seniors. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be United States citizens or able to obtain citizenship by the last day of the first term of the freshman year for 4-year offers, or the first term of the sophomore year for 3-year offers; must be a high school graduate or have an equivalent certificate; must be 17-31 years old prior to scholarship activation; and must not be enrolled full-time at a college or a university except for joint high school college programs. Criteria: Recipient selection will be based on leadership and work experience; extracurricular activities; results from the personal interview; questionnaire results; and academic scores.
Funds Avail.: Type 1-$900; Type 2-$15,000: Type 7-$9,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit their application online and include the following forms: Counselor Certification, Personal Statement, Physical Fitness Assessment, and resume. Applicants must have their high school transcripts with raised seal or signature as well as their SAT or ACT scores. Deadline: December 1.
U.S. Air Force ROTC In-College Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To provide scholarships to college freshmen and sophomores in any major. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be United States citizens by the end of the projected term of activation; must pass the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test; must meet the Air Force ROTC weight and body fat standards; must pass the Air Force ROTC Physical Fitness Test; have at least a 2.5 cumulative college grade point average; pass a physical examination; must not be a contracted scholarship recipient; and must meet the age, moral and other scholarship eligibility requirements for Air force ROTC. Criteria: Selection will be based on academic performance.
Funds Avail.: Type 2-$15,000; Type 3-$9,000; Type 6-$3,000. To Apply: Applicants must fill out the application request form online.
