Amelia Earhart Fellowship Program (Postdoctorate/Fellowship)

Purpose: To provide financial support for qualified females intending to pursue their graduate Ph.D./doctoral degrees in aerospace-related science and aerospace-related engineering. Focus: Engineering, Aerospace; Aerospace sciences. Qualif.: Applicants must be registered in an accredited Ph.D/doctoral program in a qualifying area of science or engineering closely related to advanced studies in aerospace-related engineering; must demonstrate a superior academic record at a recognized university or college with accredited courses in aerospace-related studies as verified by transcripts and recommendation; must provide evidence of a well-defined research program in aerospace-related science or aerospace-related engineering as described in the application essay, research and publication; must clearly demonstrate the relationship of the research to aerospace and furnish verification of the research program through at least one of the reference letters required with the application; and must be registered in a Ph.D/doctorate program by the time the fellowship is awarded. Criteria: Selection of applicants will be based on the application requirements.

Funds Avail.: $10,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit transcripts of grades and school verification form; must have the list of schools attended and degrees received, employment history, plans for intended study, essay on academic and professional goals, and three recommendations from teachers or supervisors. Deadline: November 15.
