Born June 6, 1974, in Manchester, England; raised in Bonn, Germany and Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; father, Balwant "Bill" Bhaneja (a diplomat, writer, translator, and activist); married Birgitte Solem (an actress, producer, and director). Education: Graduate from the National Theatre School of Canada, 1996; studied at the British American Dramatic Academy; attended acting schools; graduated from Canterbury High School (performing arts high school).
