Christie, Linford

Christie, Linford (1960– ) British athlete, b. Jamaica. He captained the British men's team at the 1992 Olympic Games and won the 100m gold medal. He repeated this feat in the World Championships (1993). Christie also won gold medals in the European Championships (1986, 1990) and the Commonwealth Games (1990, 1994). He retired in 1997.
