Greek mythology, sometimes said to be the original
Sun god. He was one of the
Titans, the son of
Uranus and Gaea, and the father of
Helios (the Sun),
Selene (the Moon) and
Eos (the dawn). He is the subject of an incomplete epic poem (1818–19) of the same name by John
Keats.
