Queensberry Rules
Queensberry Rules the standard rules of boxing, originally drawn up in 1867 to govern the sport in Britain, named after John Sholto Douglas (1844–1900), 8th Marquess of Queensberry, who supervised the preparation of the rules; in figurative use, standard rules of polite or acceptable behaviour.
