Zaretan (zâr´ētăn), Zartanan (–tăn´–), or Zarthan (zär´thăn), in the Bible, unlocated place in the valley of the Jordan, associated with the crossing of the Jews. Variants, all probably referring to the same place, are Zartanah, Zereda, Zeredathah, and Zererath.
