Kāmasūtra (Skt., kāma ‘love’, + sūtra ‘aphorism’). A Sanskrit prose text concerning the art of love and sexual union. The Kāmasūtra of Vātsyāyana (c.450 CE) is the best-known Indian sexological manual, covering almost every aspect of human sexuality, with special attention to general principles.
