Nāḍī (Skt., ‘channel’ or ‘vein’). A channel of the subtle body (sūkṣma śarīra) connecting the cakras, along which life-energy (prāṇa) flows to regulate bodily functions. There are said to be 72,000 nāḍīs, though some texts, such as the Śiva Saṃhita (2. 13), say that there are 350,000.
