CONFERENCE OF ROMAN CATHOLIC CATHEDRAL MUSICIANS

An association of professional musicians serving Roman Catholic cathedral churches in the U.S. and Canada. The inspiration and impetus for the Conference of Roman Catholic Cathedral Musicians (CRCCM) came from the initial collaboration of Peter LaManna, Gerald Muller, and Richard Proulx in the search process for a new director of music for the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in spring 1983. This led to the establishment of the CRCCM by 17 cathedral musicians who met at the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul in Philadelphia, Penn. in November 1984. In collaboration with other liturgical and musical organizations, the CRCCM provides professional support and resources for cathedral musicians in their quest for beauty and excellence in liturgical worship in Roman Catholic cathedrals.
