Dominican preacher and wonder-worker; b. Città di Castello (Tiferno), Italy, 1390; d. Cortona, Italy, Oct. 21, 1445. After being clothed in the Dominican habit (1405) and professed at Tiferno (1406), he was sent to St. Dominic's Priory, Cortona, where he began his preaching career. His relics were placed in the main altar at Cortona (1597) and then moved to the church of St. Liberius, Colorno (1786); they were finally returned to St. Dominic's at Cortona. pius vii confirmed his cult on May 11, 1816.
Feast: Oct. 21.
