ST. ANSGAR'S SCANDINAVIAN CATHOLIC LEAGUE

St. Ansgar's Scandinavian Catholic League was founded in New York (1910) for Catholics of Scandinavian background and Americans interested in the renaissance of the Catholic faith in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland. In addition to offering prayers daily, the members contribute an annual donation to the Scandinavian bishops. In 1950, a Mass stipend program was set up, under which all intentions and funds were sent to the Scandinavian bishops. The league's publications include pamphlets, leaflets, and an annual magazine giving the historical background of the Scandinavian countries, as well as a yearly report on the Catholic Church in each of these countries. The league's headquarters are located at 28 West 25th Street, New York City.
