Anarhichadidae (wolf-fish; subclass Actinopterygii, order Perciformes) A family of marine fish which are eel-like in shape, have a very long dorsal fin, lack pelvic fins, and have powerful jaws with strong teeth used to crush hard-shelled molluscs and crustaceans. There are about six species, living in cold to Arctic waters.
