Antechinus
Antechinus (antechinus; infraclass Metatheria, order Marsupialia) A genus of mouse-size marsupials, comprising about eight species, typical of the eucalypt woodlands and rain forests of eastern Australia. They are voracious predators. They and a very few other related genera exhibit semelparity.
