Changxingian
Changxingian (Tatarian, Tartarian)
1. The final age in the Late Permian Period (Zechstein Epoch), preceded by the Longtanian, followed by the Griesbachian Age (Triassic), and dated at 254–248 Ma ( Harland et al., 1989).
2. The corresponding eastern European stage which, because of correlation problems, has been included in the Triassic System. It is roughly contemporaneous with the Bundsandstein (western Europe), upper Amarassian (New Zealand), and upper Ochoan (N. America).
