homogenization temperature
homogenization temperature
1. Temperature at which an exsolution pair of minerals, e.g. chalcopyrite—sphalerite, homogenize to a single crystalline phase.
2. Temperature at which the liquid and vapour phase in a fluid inclusion homogenize to monophase liquid or vapour. This gives an indication of the minimum trapping temperature of the fluid inclusion. See also GEOTHERMOMETER.
