Malaysian floral region Part of R. Good's (1974, The Geography of the Flowering Plants) Indo-Malaysian floral subkingdom within his Palaeotropical floral kingdom, and including the Malay peninsula and archipelago of south-eastern Asia. The flora is one of the richest, if not the richest, in the world. It has yielded many plants of value to humans, of which bananas, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves are perhaps the best known.
