Raphidiidae
Raphidiidae (snakeflies; subclass Pterygota, order Megaloptera) Family of predatory insects, which have four membranous wings with a complex venation, similar to those of lacewings and alderflies. The characteristic prolongation of the prothorax in the adults, to form a snake-like neck, gives the family its common name. Adults and larvae are usually found on or under bark where they feed on aphids and other small insects.
