Scopelosauridae (Notosudidae; wearyfish; superorder Scopelomorpha, order Myctophiformes) A small family of marine fish that have a thin, slender body, large eyes, large mouth, a single dorsal fin, and an adipose fin above the anal fin. They are probably inhabitants of deep seas. There are about five species, distributed world-wide.
