Sordes pilosus
Sordes pilosus Discovered in 1971, one of the first pterosaurs (Pterosauria) known to have been covered in thick fur: the name means ‘hairy filth’. The indication is that this reptile and its close relatives were homoiotherms. It was found in Upper Jurassic sediments of Chimkent, Kazakhstan, and was a small, toothed pterosaur with a long tail.
