TURAM method A geophysical electro-magnetic method in which a very long (up to several hundred metres), insulated cable is used, either grounded at both ends or laid out in a large loop, and energized at low frequencies (less than 1 kHz). A receiver coil is moved perpendicularly across the line of the cable and the two orthogonal components of the secondary field are measured.
