Assailly, Alain Jean Joseph (1909-?)
French physician and neuro-endocrinologist who studied psychophysiology of mediumship and hauntings and published articles on these subjects. Born October 17, 1909, at Pont-chateau (Loire-Infériere), France, he became consulting psychiatrist to Bichat Hospital and was awarded the Croix de Guerre in World War II. He contributed the chapter "Modern Man Faced with the Problem of the Supernatural" to the book Medicine and the Supernatural (1957).
