Richard Weston
Richard Weston
1591-1652
English agriculturist who advanced the field of agriculture by developing the concepts of crop rotation and irrigation of hay fields to increase the volume of crops. Weston also brought forward the idea of canal locks to regulate the level of water in the canals. He was involved in making the Wey River navigable to Guilford, England.
