English actress. Born Marianne Lipsett, 1866, in Dominica, West Indies; died May 18, 1933.
Made London debut (1886); appeared in Mamma, The Profligate, The Cabinet Minister, Magda, The School Girl, The Light that Failed, Billy, As You Like It and The Sphinx, among others; appeared for several seasons with Forbes Robertson's company; engaged by Oscar Asche at His Majesty's Theatre during the run of Chu Chin Chow (1916–21).
