Calton, Patsy (1948–2005)

English politician and member of Parliament. Born Patricia Yeldon, Sept 19, 1948; died of breast cancer, May 29, 2005, in England; attended school in Egypt, then Wymondham College in Norfolk; earned a degree in biochemisty at Umist and postgraduate degree in education from University of Manchester; m. Clive Calton, 1969; children: 2 daughters, 1 son.

Held several positions as a science teacher; representing Liberal Democrats, elected to House of Commons at Westminster (2001) for Cheadle, ordinarily a Conservative stronghold, by 33 votes; reelected by 4,020 (2005).
