American stage and screen actress. Born May 13, 1878, in St. Paul, Minnesota; died Oct 17, 1952, in Hollywood, California; niece of Julia Dean (actress, 1830–1868); m. Orme Caldera.
Made NY stage debut in The Altar of Friendship (1902), followed by A Marriage of Reason, The Lily, Bought and Paid For, The Law of the Land, Her Own Money and The Magic Melody, among others; films include Matrimony, Rasputin the Black Monk, An Honorable Cad, The Curse of the Cat People, O.S.S., The Emperor Waltz and People Will Talk.
