Earle, Virginia (1875–1937)

American actress and singer. Born Aug 6, 1875, in Cincinnati, Ohio; died Sept 21, 1937.

Made stage debut as a member of a juvenile opera company (1888); toured Australia with E.E. Rice management, then US with De Wolf Hopper; made NY debut in The Passing Show (1894), followed by The Merry World, In Gay New York, The Geisha, The Casino Girl, The Girl from Up There, Florodora and The Jewel of Asia; came to prominence in title role of Sergeant Kitty (1903); also appeared in vaudeville.
