Bosnian diarist. Name variations: Zlata Filipovic. Born in Sarajevo, Bosnia, 1981; only dau. of Malik (lawyer) and Alica Filipović (biochemist).
Dubbed the Anne Frank of the Bosnian War, began her diary at age 10; with Sarajevo under siege by Bosnian Serbs, her 2-year diary turned into a chronicle of the horrors of war and a young girl's loss of innocence.
