Gaines, Chryste (1970–)

African-American runner. Born Sept 14, 1970, in Lawton, Oklahoma; graduate of Stanford University (1992); sister of Charletta Gaines (track coach).

Won a gold medal for the 4 × 100-meter relay at Atlanta Olympics (1996); won a bronze medal for the 4 × 100-meter relay at Sydney Olympics (2000); won US outdoor championship for 100 meters (2001); won US indoor championship for 60m (2001, 2002).
