Jamaican novelist and historian. Name variations: Mrs. Thomas Lascelles. Born Lucille d'Oyen Parks, c. 1916, in Jamaica; died possibly in 1989; studied in UK; m. Thomas Lascelles Iremonger (1916–1998, Conservative MP for Ilford).
West Indian author and collector of folktales, who often wrote books with a Caribbean theme, moved to England and married there; works include novel Creole (1951) and The Ghosts of Versailles; also published books for children.
