British leading lady, made London debut in Antony and Cleopatra (1935), followed by Home and Beauty, Welcome Stranger, The Devil's Disciple, You Never Can Tell, Gaslight, Dragon's Mouth, The Golden Thread and Murder on Arrival, among others; films include The First of the Few, The Gentle Sex, Tawny Pipit, The Way to the Stars and Fame is the Spur.
