British poet. Name variations: Lady Howe. Born 1621 in England; died after 1684; dau. of John King, bishop of London, and Joan (Freeman) King; sister of Henry King, poet; m. John Dutton, 1648 (died 1657); m. Sir Richard Grobham Howe, before 1671.
Only 2 poems can be attributed to her with certainty, "Under Mr. Hales Picture" (1636) printed in J. Butt, "Izaak Walton's Collections for Fulman's Life of John Hales" in MLR (1934) and "Inscription on monument of Dorothy, Lady Hubert at Langley, Buckinghamshire" (1684) in G.
