Long, Jill Lynette (1952–)
American politician. Born July 15, 1952, in Warsaw, IN; Valparaiso University, BS, 1974; Indiana University, MBA, 1978, and PhD, 1984.
Taught at Indiana University, Bloomington, Valparaiso University and Indiana University/Purdue University-Fort Wayne; was a Democratic member of Congress (1989–95), serving on the Veterans' Affairs Committee, the Committee on Agriculture and the Select Committee on Hunger; was a fellow at Institute of Politics, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University; served as a member, board of directors, Commodity Credit Corporation; was undersecretary for rural, economic and community development, Department of Agriculture.
