English pantomime performer. Born Pauline Margaret Hill in East End of London, England; died Mar 20, 1919, in New York, NY.
Considered a great beauty, made professional debut at Manchester Theater in England in role of Oberon (1865); toured US with Lydia Thompson's pantomime group, performing in Ixion, the Man in the Moon, among others; appeared as Stalacta in revival of The Black Crook in NY (1868); performed mainly in US from then on, most notably in Chow Chow (1872), H.M.S. Pinafore, and East Lynne; published memoirs (1871).
